Technical Client Liaison – Support to Analysis

The Opportunity:

We are looking for a Technical Client Liaison in the Washington, DC metro area with 2-3 years software development experience and considerable experience moving data around large-scale systems and RESTful APIs, writing scripts and tools to control the movement and further enrichment of data, supporting various types of analytical activities, etc. 

You'll be developing and deploying tools for the processing and import/export of data into and out of large-scale Elasticsearch and Hadoop environments.

The Day to Day:

  • Work directly with the customer to support their analysis efforts
  • Assist with the import, export and transformation of data into various formats 
  • Develop tools to automate this processing on a regular basis 
  • Participate as a member of the application development team 
  • Help build back-end frameworks that are maintainable, flexible and scaleable


  • 2-3 years of programming experience in Javascript (Node.js), Python or Go
  • Experience working with any of Elasticsearch, MongoDB or Hadoop
  • Strong preference for Elasticsearch experience with Logstash 
  • Experience working with either MySQL or PostgreSQL
  • Experience working with data in JSON, XML and CSV data formats
  • Comfort doing development work on the Linux platform
  • Exposure to compute clusters and working with many terabytes of data 
  • US Citizenship or Equivalent Work Authorization

Bonus Points:

  • Operational experience with Hadoop, MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra, or other distributed systems
  • Mac OS X familiarity 
  • BS or MS in a technology or scientific field of study
  • High energy level and pleasant, positive attitude!

About Us:

One of our subsidiaries provides hosting and technical services for multi-terabyte scale Elasticsearch clusters. We assist customers with design and development and are building an Open Source tool suite to assist customers in building large scale applications.
